Donald R. Prothero

Donald Prothero is an American geologist and paleontologist who specializes in mammalian paleontology and magnetostratigraphy. His book Evolution: What the Fossils Say and Why it Matters is a very good guide to fossils that show some of the major transitions between phyla.
