To help people find resources that explain the problems with creationist claims.
Some people find it easy to dig out the resources they need to answer the questions they have; others might need a helping hand. There are many resources scattered around the web but it can be hard to round up all the resources on one particular topic. This site aims to make things easier by finding and categorizing resources. It's like a library where everything is arranged by subject and easy to find. People can spend less time searching and more time discovering and learning.
Absolutely not. Understanding science and what science shows us does not mean you have to lose your faith. Creationists present a false dichotomy - either God or evolution - but there are many people who believe in both. Some of the resources linked to by this site are produced by by people who believe in both. Whether you personally believe that both can be true is up to you, but remember that what we want to be true does not affect what is true. I hope that this site can help you explore the evidence for an old Earth and for common descent and show the faults and falsehoods in creationist reasoning and claims.
Then this site is not for you. I wish you well and hope that you will come back some time to explore the issues with an open mind.
Please see the 'resources selected' page.
Just someone who has seen how creationism can affect individuals, families, and society as a whole and is concerned about scientific literacy.
